NW 66th Avenue Booster Station

Project Name: NW 66th Avenue Pumping Station 

Project Description:  A water pumping station is planned to be constructed at 4640 NW 66th Avenue.  The project will include a pump station, construction of water main near the intersection of NW Beaver Drive and NW 66th Ave, and along NW 70th Avenue between NW Beaver Drive and Merle Hay Road.  This project will upgrade the pumps in the booster station to assist the water department in providing safe and dependable water to the residents of Johnston.

Project Update (as of 9/1/2020)
Pump station site: The contractor is working on grading and paving the pump station site.
NW 66th Avenue: Water main is installed and being tested.
NW 70th Avenue: Water main is installed and in operation.  The contractor is in the process of seeding the disturbed areas.  A flow meter is being installed in the NW corner of the Merle Hay Road and NW 70th Avenue intersection.

Project Update (as of 4/3/2020)
Pumping station site: The foundation for the pump station has been completed.  The contractor is scheduled to begin the construction of the exterior walls.
NW 66th Avenue:  Water main is being installed along NW 66th Avenue between the pump station site and the intersection with NW Beaver Drive.
NW 70th Avenue: Water main is being installed along NW 70th Avenue between NW Beaver Drive and Merle Hay Road.  The water main is scheduled to be installed across Merle Hay Road and NW 70th Avenue.  To install the water main the contractor will need to directionally bore the new water main under the roadway.

Project Bid: $3,746,300.00

Estimated Start Date:  December 17, 2019

Estimated Completion Date: April 30, 2021
