About Our Water

The City of Johnston purchases its drinking water from Des Moines Water Works. The city provides billing and collection services and maintains the distribution system. Water rates (PDF) reflect the costs associated with purchasing water and maintaining the distribution system.

Des Moines Water Works provides water quality data for its treatment plants as well as an Annual Consumer Confidence Report.
