Project Description
This project involves the complete reconstruction of NW 62nd Avenue from NW 59th Court east through NW 54th Court. This project is part of the city’s efforts to improve roadway safety, improve the deteriorating roadway surface and to improve overall drainage in the immediate vicinity of the project. The project will be built in three main construction stages with stage 1 beginning spring/early summer.
The project will consist of PCC Pavement, sidewalk and shared-use path, water-main improvements, storm sewer, sub-drains, sanitary sewer, sanitary manholes, storm sewer manholes and intakes, pavement markings, and surface restoration.
Project Update (12/18/2020)
Stage 2A is substantially complete. Temporary pavement markings are expected to be complete the week of Dec. 21. NW 62nd Avenue east of Merle Hay Road will be re-opened in the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 23. The contractor is currently working on permanent traffic signals. The project's completion will be in the spring of 2021.
