URGENT: Fire Hydrant Relocation Rescheduled for May 8, 2012

The hydrant relocation that was planned for May 3rd has been postponed until Tuesday May 8th from 6 pm – 10 pm.
The contractor on the NW 62nd Avenue project will relocate the fire hydrant at NW 62nd Avenue and Pioneer's South Drive entrance.  The water will be off at Pioneer Hi-Bred International from 6 p.m. to approximately 10 p.m.

Residents in Green Meadows West may experience a change in water pressure, but will not experience a water outage. The only customer that will experience an outage will be Pioneer Hi-Bred International.

Farm Glass and Metal Spiral Tea Light Holder Recalled by Christmas Tree Shops Due to Fire Hazard

 On May 1, 2012, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of Farm Glass and Metal Spiral Tea Light Holders. Due to the design of the product, the tea lights can burn with a high flame, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

STOK Gas Grills Recalled by One World Technologies Due to Fire and Burn Hazards

On April 18, 2012, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced a voluntary recall of STOK Island and STOK Quattro gas grills. The regulator on the grill can leak propane gas, which can ignite, posing fire and burn hazard to consumers. The STOK Island has a round grill base and two burners. "STOK" is written on the grill cover and a label on the bottom of the grill stand. The STOK Quattro gas grill is a rectangular, four-burner grill. "STOK" is printed on the grill's lid. To identify whether a specific Island or Quattro grill is included in this recall, you will need to look at the grill's regulator. The recalled grills have regulators on them with the model number "AZF" on the front and a date code between 1046 and 1143 on the back of the regulator. Sold at: Home Depot stores nationwide and in Canada and Direct Tools Factory Outlet stores nationwide from March 2011 through February 2012 for between $79 and $350.
