Can I vote early for the General Election?
In-person Absentee Voting is available in Iowa beginning 40 days before an election, in other words September 29th through November 7th at the Polk County Auditor's Office, which is located at 120 2nd Avenue, Des Moines, IA 50309. 

Satellite In-person Absentee Voting will be available at Johnston Public Library from October 17 through October 28th, Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 4:00pm and on Saturday, October 29 from 10:00am to 4:00pm.
