  • The sewer usage charge is $3.57 per 1,000 gallons.


Sewer Rates Outside City Limits

Customers that live outside City Limits are charged 50% more for sanitary sewer service.

  • The monthly sewer availability charge is $5.81.
  • The sewer usage charge is $5.36 per 1,000 gallons.

Commercial Customers except apartment buildings pay a 6% tax on their sewer usage.

Information for Contractors / Plumbers
Plumbers are required to be licensed with the City of Johnston. This can be handled at 6221 Merle Hay Road in the Building Department.

Inspections need to be called in with no less than a 4-hour notice. Please call Public Works at 278-0822. The earlier you call, the more options for times you will receive.

Plans and blue prints are available at Public Works, 6400 NW Beaver Drive.

Hydrant Meter information and applications can be obtained by calling Public Works, 278-0822.

Water pressure, noisy meters, leaks and any maintenance calls should be directed to Public Works at 278-0822.
