Right of Way

The City of Johnston requires a permit any time work is performed in the right of way within the City of Johnston.

The following items are required before a permit is granted and work can start:

• A completed right of way permit.
• Payment of $50.00 permit fee.
• Liability Insurance Certificate.
• An annual bond payable to the City of Johnston in the amount of $10,000.

If any lanes of traffic will be blocked, a street/lane closure permit is also required.
