Johnston Water ACH Payment Setup

The City of Johnston offers an automated clearing house (ACH) payment option for all water customers. On the second billing cycle after an ACH is established, the customer's checking account will be debited for the entire billed amount on the 15th of each month. If the 15th falls on a weekend, the payment will be debited on the first business day following the 15th.  Please call 515-727-7772 or email msanti@ci.johnston.ia.us for more information or to set up your ACH payment.  Click here to download an ACH form.

 

A reminder for customers who use "Online Bill Pay"

Many water customers currently use a form of "Online Bill Pay" to pay their water bills. Customers should remember that online bill payment methods are between the customer and their financial institution. After a customer requests an online bill payment, the financial institution prints and mails a check to the City of Johnston. When using an online bill payment method, customers should allow adequate time for the payment to reach the city and post to their account.
