Security Officer Reservation and Information

The City of Johnston Police Department provides security services following these guidelines:

  • Complete and submit Off-Duty Security Officer Request Form at least one month prior to the requested event date. Note: City staff will schedule security officer(s) for events scheduled at the Crown Point Community Center or Simpson Barn when alcohol is served.   • Once staff has been assigned, contact will be made with the event host to provide security officer information and confirm event date and time(s).
  • Security officer fee is charged.
  • Full payment must be received by the Johnston Police Department prior to the date of the event.
  • Payment can be made in the form of cash, check or money order; made payable directly to the officer(s) working the event.
  • Payment should be delivered or mailed to:

  • Payments will be held at the Johnston Police Department until the day before the event at which time they will then be turned over to the officer(s) scheduled to work the event.
  • If the event runs shorter than originally scheduled, payment will still be required for the entire original pre-scheduled time.
  • If the event runs longer than originally scheduled security coverage, payment options can be negotiated with the security officer at their discretion.
  • A cancellation fee will be required on all cancellations made with less than a 12-hour notice.
