Lieutenant Lynn AsweganLt. Aswegan began his law enforcement career in 1986. Sergeant Craig PorterSgt. Porter commands the midnight shift and has over 32 years of law enforcement experience. He is a Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) and an instructor for Drug Impairment Training for Educational Professionals (DITEP) which is utilized by many other agencies. He began his law enforcement career at the Lucas County Sheriff's Office where he became a certified ASP Instructor. He joined the Johnston Police Department in December 2003. Sgt. He worked part-time in 1991 and started full-time in 1992. He is one of three Johnston officers that have been trained on the Strategic Anti-Felon Team (SAF-T). Officer Stringham has an AA degree and will be graduating from Kaplan University in July 2009 with a BA degree. He started his career with the Boone Police Department and completed the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in November 2000. He joined the Johnston Police Department in October of 2004, and is currently a Field Training Officer and Drug Recognition Expert for the Department. Officer Jason GudenkaufOfficer Gudenkauf began his law enforcement career in 1999. He started his career with the Marshalltown Police Department where he became a certified Field Training Officer.
