March 15, 2012 - JOHNSTON POLICE INVESTIGATION #12-000327
The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify the person pictured in connection with a criminal investigation involving a theft that occurred on March 10th at a Johnston Kum & Go convenience store. According to the report, on Saturday, March 10th an African American male entered the Kum & Go convenience store at 5800 Northglenn Drive around 8:50pm and attempted to purchase two packs of Newport cigarettes. The subject made an attempt to pay for the cigarettes with a credit card but the transaction was declined. When the employee informed him that the card had been declined the subject picked up the cigarettes and exited the store without making any further payment attempt. The subject is believed to have left the area on foot. Witnesses described the male that is pictured as wearing dark colored jeans, a white t-shirt with a black jacket and a black baseball style cap with ear flaps. The hat had a silver circular sticker affixed to the top of the bill and the words “Black Yankees” written across the front of it. The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify this subject so that he can be questioned regarding any possible knowledge or involvement he may have in the described activity.

JANUARY 17, 2012 – JOHNSTON POLICE INVESTIGATION #11-001651
The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify the person pictured wearing the light blue zip-up hoodie in connection with the fraudulent use of a credit card. According to the report, a vehicle was broken into at the Wynnsong Theater parking lot in Johnston on December 26th. The victims purse was taken during the theft and her credit cards were subsequently used to make multiple fraudulent purchases at several merchant locations in Des Moines and Ankeny. The other male shown in the photographs wearing the dark colored hat and clothing was identified as 30 year-old Steven James Brown who has already been arrested and criminally charged for his involvement in the described incident, however, the identity of the white male in the light blue “Carolina” zip-up hoodie is still unknown. The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify this subject so that he can be questioned regarding any possible knowledge or involvement he may have had in the described activity.

CASE INVESTIGATION #11-001623
The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify the person pictured in connection with a theft that occurred at Johnston high school. According to the report, on Sunday, December 18th a girls pair of “Ugg” boots were taken from the school while the victim was attending volleyball practice. At the time of the theft the boots were in a gym bag that was in the hallway near the gymnasium doors on the east side of the building. The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify this subject so that she can be questioned regarding any possible knowledge or involvement she may have had in the described activity.

DECEMBER 29, 2011 - POLICE INVESTIGATION The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify the person pictured in connection with some recent suspicious check activity that occurred at Hy-Vee Food Stores in Johnston, Urbandale and Osceola. According to the report, a male has attempted to return merchandise to several Hy-Vee Food stores that was allegedly purchased with checks from a closed banking account. The male was driven to the stores by a undescribed female driving a gray 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix bearing Iowa license plate #376YTI. The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify this subject so that he can be questioned regarding any possible knowledge or involvement he may have in the described activity.

DECEMBER 20, 2011 - JOHNSTON POLICE INVESTIGATION #11-001576
The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify the person pictured in connection with a criminal investigation involving a shoplifting that occurred on December 14th at a Johnston Kum & Go convenience store. According to the report, on Wednesday, December 14th three males entered the Kum & Go convenience store at 5225 NW 86th Street. Before leaving the store the male that is pictured is alleged to have picked up a 24-pack of beer and exited the store without making payment for it. The three males are believed to have then left the scene in a silver colored vehicle. Witnesses described the male that is pictured as being approximately 16-20 years of age and having a “stocky” build. The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify this subject so that he can be questioned regarding any possible knowledge or involvement he may have in the described activity.
