Johnston Police Crime Prevention Tips

1. Keep overhead garage doors closed.

2. Lock vehicles and remove valuable property.

3. Remove incoming mail from mailbox as soon as possible.

4. Avoid placing outgoing mail in curbside mailbox.

5. Never give money or personal information to a door-to-door solicitor unless you are familar with the organization.

6. Never give out personal or financial information over the phone or electronically unless you have initiated the contact and have confirmed the recipient is legitimate.

7. Keep a list of valuable property including make, model, and serial number.
