Comprehensive Plan

comp plan iconThe City of Johnston completed a review of its comprehensive plan from mid-summer 2009 through December of 2010. Public forums, open houses and other presentations were held to offer residents the opportunity to provide input regarding Johnston's future. The final plan was approved by the Johnston City Council at their December 6, 2011 meeting.

Merle Hay Road Redevelopment Study

The Merle Hay Road Redevelopment Study was adopted by the City Council on October 15, 2007.  This study explores the redevelopment possibilities of Merle Hay Road particularly between NW 62nd Avenue and NW 66th Avenue. 


Additional planning studies have been done that relate to the Comprehensive Plan.
