Code Updates In Effect

On March 16, 2009, the Johnston City Council approved updates to the city building, residential, mechanical, plumbing and electrical building codes, including special provisions.  The staff report describes the changes.

These updates became effective on April 1, 2009, and all projects for which a building permit is issued from that date forward must comply with the new codes.  Please note that these changes do include a change in permit fees.
