  1. Ray Schleihs Park Ribbon Cutting

    October 23, 2019, 5:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Ray Schleihs Park

Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Ray Schleihs Park as we officially cut the ribbon for the new playground equipment. The park is located at 5400 NW 55th Avenue.

A train theme sets this park apart from the others in our community, as it is along the old interurban rail. The surface will be one that parents will enjoy as it is built with 2’ x 2’ interlocking mats, so no mess!

  2. Trick-or-Treat with First Responders

    October 23, 2019, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM @ Fire Station 38

Join community members and trick-or-treat with first responders on Wednesday, October 23 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Fire station 38, 10225 NW 62nd Avenue. The Police and Fire Departments will be handing out treats from their squad cars and fire trucks and will also talk about "safety" when going out on Beggars' Night.

We encourage the children to wear their Halloween costume. The Police and Fire Chiefs will be voting on the best-dressed pet and child! Photos will be taken at the event and posted on our Facebook page with the winners after the Chiefs cast their vote.

This is a great opportunity for families to get to know our Police Officers and Firefighters/EMS members. We encourage you to come with questions for them and most of all, have a great time!
