Mayor/City Council

The Johnston City Council is comprised of the mayor of Johnston and five city council members elected at-large. City council meetings are held the first and third Monday of every month beginning at 7 p.m. A work session held prior to most council meetings at 6 p.m. For more information on when city council meetings are held, check the Johnston calendar of events.  For information on city council processes and procedures, refer to the City Council Procedural Rules.
