Trostel’s Greenbriar opened on February 11, 1987 by Paul Trostel. The building was owned by Green Meadows, a subsidiary of Pioneer. Our name was derived by using the “Green” from Green Meadows.
There were three restaurants in the building that operated for less than a year each before Trostel’s Greenbriar occupied the space. In 1989 a patio was added, and in 1990 a new kitchen and dining room were added.
Trostel’s Greenbriar will celebrate their 32nd year in Johnston in February 2019.
