NW Beaver Drive Overlay

Project Description
NW Beaver Drive – Merle Hay Rd. to North Corporate Limits
HMA (Asphalt) mill and overlay project along NW Beaver Drive from Merle Hay Road to the North Corporate Limits (approximately 3.25 miles). Project will include median/splitter island in locations along with recreational trail.

Project Update (as of 5/23/18)
This past Monday, it was observed that the existing roadway bed was in worse shape than originally thought. As a result, the areas are being cleaned out, patched and then add an additional layer of asphalt will be added in order to stabilize the roadway and improve the quality of ride when complete.

Therefore, paving operations have been extended through Thursday, May 24. The contractor will utilize all daylight as is available. As of tonight, work has been completed that was anticipated to have been completed by Monday evening. If paving goes as anticipated tomorrow and without complications, tomorrow will be the last day of extensive one-lane closures this week.

The contractor will then move to constructing the trail and stormwater improvements. There will be one additional paving operation that follows.

Please be patient and exercise caution when driving through the site.
