The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify the registered owner of the pictured vehicle in connection with a traffic accident that occurred on September 20th in the 5900 block of Merle Hay Road. According to the report, on Tuesday, September 20th at approximately 12:20 pm the pictured vehicle was traveling southbound in the 5900 block of Merle Hay Road when it is alleged to have collided into the rear of another southbound motorist. The vehicle in-question then fled from the scene without stopping and making contact with the other driver or providing the required information. Witnesses described the vehicle in-question as a tan or bronze colored Chevy extended cab pickup truck driven by a white male with “sandy brown” hair. At the time, the vehicle was displaying deer antler decals on the rear window and a license plate number similar to LIL195. The Johnston Police Department is attempting to identify the owner of this vehicle so that they can be questioned regarding any possible knowledge or involvement that they may have in the described incident.
