Kempton Bridge & NW 66th Avenue Improvements - A Polk County project involving the city of Johnston.

Project Update: Phase 1 and 2 of the NW 66th Avenue and Kempton Bridge project is complete. During the last week in November and first week in December, work will continue on completing the reconstruction of the Neal Smith Trail and the connector trail, as well as other clean up items on the site and bridge.

In March of 2018, Polk County anticipates construction to begin on the third and final phase of this project, which will include reconstructing and widening NW 66th Avenue from NW Toni Drive to NW 23rd Street, including the intersection of NW 26th Street.
