C.A.R.E. is a local identification program for citizens who suffer from some form of physical or mental condition that may impair their ability to effectively communicate during those times when they have become separated from a caregiver or loved one. The C.A.R.E. program offers residents a proactive approach in registering a disabled loved one with the police department so in the event that they become separated from their family or care provider, officers can quickly get them identified and safely reunited.
E-LERT is an electronic crime prevention program that allows residents and businesses in the community to receive email notifications of any law enforcement related alerts the Johnston Police Department puts out regarding activity of concern related to the community.
