Public Works Week 2023

From May 21-27, we will be celebrating National Public Works Week under the theme of "Connecting the World Through Public Works." Our city's Public Works Department is the backbone of our community, providing essential services that keep everything running smoothly. They take care of our streets, water, wastewater, stormwater, and public buildings, ensuring that Johnston is a great place to live and work.

The Public Works Department faces numerous challenges every day, from maintaining our roadways and traffic signals to keeping our sewer systems in check and providing clean drinking water. Despite their critical role, their work often goes unnoticed. That's why during Public Works Week, we want to recognize and celebrate the team's tireless efforts. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication and commitment to ensuring a high quality of life for our community.
