City Nearing Completion of Watershed Assessment

watershed/stormwater plan cover The City of Johnston, with the assistance of Nilles Associates, Inc., Ankeny, Iowa, has completed a city-wide watershed assessment, which includes Beaver Creek and Des Moines River, and their tributaries. For more information and to provide comment, attend a meeting at Johnston City Hall, 6221 Merle Hay Road. The public is invited and encouraged to attend these meetings or provide written comments on the plan.

2009 Comprehensive Plan Update

The City of Johnston has contracted with Hoisington Koegler Group, Inc. to update the City of Johnston Comprehensive Plan. This year-long process will include evaluation of city services, housing, transportation and more. Public input is requested.
